Becket also designed the Pan Pacific Theatre that the entrance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park is modeled after. He also designed the Contemporary hotel and the Grand Polynesian at Disney World. Walt Disney and Becket were great friends who traveled on a family vacation to Cuba together, which inspired the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
